WHADDACUTUP'S SANITY STUDIO
I consider this my "Happy Place". The items you see listed here are things that I have created because I enjoy all types of crafts and it can be such a stress reliever for me to create!
The original design of this greeting card was by a very talented woman on the Cricut messageboard. She has graciously posted all of her .cut files on her blog for all to share. I then cut it with my little bug and then custom designed the envelope with my Top Score Enveloper which also enabled me to line the envelope with a coordinating paper for a more elegant look! If you get a chance, check out her blog here. Drop her a note if you appreciate her designs as much as I do! Thanks Susan!
Hello there, I have been making some cards with a new technique called Gamsol Magic Pencil Technique that is basically special Prismacolor Pencils and shading with a product similar to odorless mineral spirits. This is a neat shading that is done with rubber stamps and "stumps" that are used for shading and blending. You can find a tutorial for this really fun technique at the Splitcoaststamper website link here. Here is a sample of a recent project done with this technique. I also used a new embossing folder that I just received called Swiss Dots. This was used in my Cuttlebug. Ribbon and papers are just from my stash! Please pop in often and leave me a comment if you enjoy my work!
Well, it's been a while since I've stopped by, I hope to be here regularly now. I purchased a laptop with Christmas money and have set up wireless internet in the house (!) and now I can work on this while I multi-task. (Watch TV). I may have to get Katey to help me out once in a while (whenever I try to do something here).
I am going to try to post all of my newest creations, while showing off some of my older ones. I really haven't been doing to much creating in my crap room, er--scrap room, I mean. I have so many scrapbook and card-making supplies and I seem to get creators' block every time I go down there. I think I need a room makeover. (Hint, hint Paul.) I soooo wish I had some walls (i.e. drywall) to hang stuff like shelves, organizing elements. I will just have to work around it for a while.
So, while I have my CRICUT (yipee) and about 16-ish cartridges for it, I really plan to work hard this year to get caught up on my photos/scrapbooking.
Come by often to see what's new, or even old. Please let me know that you've dropped by and I would love to have your comments and/or opinions. I hope that with time, this site will improve!
Hi, I am a wife, mother of 2 children--a daughter who's 14 and a son who's 6. I have been married for 18 years, but started dating him 26 years ago. I recently realized that I have known my husband longer than I haven't!
I work full time (yuck) and my passion/obsession is scrapbooking & cardmaking and my kids! In addition, my goal/dream is to own and operate my own business-preferrable craft/scrapbooking store-online would be nice, but I think that I would also love to have a regular "brick & mortar" storefront. I think the internet store would suit my lifestyle better, but who knows....maybe someday!
I live in a rural area in Michigan and love the peace & serenity of living in the country. I grew up in a city subdivision, houses all crammed one on top of another and now we live on 10 acres and are really enjoying the wildlife and quiet. My husband and I (!) literally built 80% of our home with our own two hands (with a little help, of course) and are so very proud of it! It was alot of work, can't say it was fun-but WELL worth it!
