Cricut Card done with Design Studio!

BEST FRIENDS:

The original design of this greeting card was by a very talented woman on the Cricut messageboard. She has graciously posted all of her .cut files on her blog for all to share. I then cut it with my little bug and then custom designed the envelope with my Top Score Enveloper which also enabled me to line the envelope with a coordinating paper for a more elegant look! If you get a chance, check out her blog here . Drop her a note if you appreciate her designs as much as I do! Thanks Susan!

House Mouse Gamsol Technique

Hello there, I have been making some cards with a new technique called Gamsol Magic Pencil Technique that is basically special Prismacolor Pencils and shading with a product similar to odorless mineral spirits. This is a neat shading that is done with rubber stamps and "stumps" that are used for shading and blending. You can find a tutorial for this really fun technique at the Splitcoaststamper website link here. Here is a sample of a recent project done with this technique. I also used a new embossing folder that I just received called Swiss Dots. This was used in my Cuttlebug. Ribbon and papers are just from my stash! Please pop in often and leave me a comment if you enjoy my work!

I'm back.......still trying to figure this stuff out!

Well, it's been a while since I've stopped by, I hope to be here regularly now. I purchased a laptop with Christmas money and have set up wireless internet in the house (!) and now I can work on this while I multi-task. (Watch TV). I may have to get Katey to help me out once in a while (whenever I try to do something here).

I am going to try to post all of my newest creations, while showing off some of my older ones. I really haven't been doing to much creating in my crap room, er--scrap room, I mean. I have so many scrapbook and card-making supplies and I seem to get creators' block every time I go down there. I think I need a room makeover. (Hint, hint Paul.) I soooo wish I had some walls (i.e. drywall) to hang stuff like shelves, organizing elements. I will just have to work around it for a while.

So, while I have my CRICUT (yipee) and about 16-ish cartridges for it, I really plan to work hard this year to get caught up on my photos/scrapbooking.

Come by often to see what's new, or even old. Please let me know that you've dropped by and I would love to have your comments and/or opinions. I hope that with time, this site will improve!

See y'all!!

Welcome to my creative space!!

Well, here is my blog. I haven't the faintest idea how to go about this, so please bear with me while I figure this thing out! It may take me a little while to get this all together but I think that I will enjoy this once all the setup is done. It is getting very late, I will try to work on this some more tomorrow, would like to post some pictures, figure out how to put some music in background, etc....any comments you would like to leave to help me figure some of this out would be welcome! This theme is going to be mostly about my scrapbooking/cardmaking passion/obsession--with a little family thrown in there. This is my son PJ (Paul, Jr) and daughter Katey. They will be tickled to see their pictures on a webpage. Such little things can sometimes tickle them to death! I will try to inject some humor along the way, maybe some funny things that happen around here--there's always something. Anyways, I am going for now, I will have to figure out how to add photo's first!
See Ya!!
