Mother-in-Law Mothers' Day Card.

This card was made for my MIL, Joan...she's the best! The card blank was bought at the stamp convention here in town last year. The flower and leave stamps have coordinating punches! These were stamped on vellum, versamark with Ivory embossing powder. Then I punched them with the coordinating punch--man does this make things easy! The only thing I'm not crazy about is vellum adhesive. I have some that is OK, not great though. I could sure use some advice for what others use for vellum. The sentiment was stamped (Michael's dollar bin) and punched with my Marvy giga scallop punch and pop-dotted. This card was so much prettier in person. Thanks for looking!

More Coasters.......

This set was prepared with alcohol inks and then stamped. I just love flourishes!

This set of 4 was also stamped with Staz-on and colored with Prisma's. The background stamp is french script, the gardenia stamp is one of my all time favorites. Katey always tells me, "Not that stamp again"....But, I like it! I did add a little shading around the outside edges and of course the same felt pads. Sorry folks, the following pictures didn't come out too well and I don't know why....enjoy!

Ceramic Tile Coasters

I made several sets (of 4) of ceramic tile coasters for a craft show I displayed at last fall that I wanted to share. While most of these are gone (thanks to my best customer, my mother-in-law Joan) I still have photo's to share. The grape cluster set was stamped with Staz-on, then colored with my Prismacolor pencils. After coloring, I baked these in the oven at low temp and then sealed with a spray matte sealer. These also have felt pads on the bottom to protect the furniture and are sealed well enough to wash! Thanks for looking, leave a comment if you see something you like....

Glass Block Night Light (Snowman)

This glass block was made for PJ's Kindergarten teacher for Christmas. I cut again from the Wall Pops purchased at Lowe's. The colors were layered on the snowman. The background on both of these blocks were "muted" with glass etching cream. I will post some other glass etched items within the next couple of days! Using this on the blocks helped me to obscure the lights inside the block. I used white-corded lights but didn't want to see them any more than necessary. This worked well for me. Glass Block Night Light (Christmas Theme)

Here are some glass blocks that I made at Christmas time. Yeah, I know it's April--what can I say. First off, drilling the glass block is hubby's job, LOL. Me and power tools don't generally get used in the same sentence. The design on the first one is cut with "wall pops" that I purchased (on clearance!) at Lowe's. The two turtle doves was cut from the Cricut Cartridge Joys of the Season. Sorry I don't know what sizes I cut anything. I did use Design Studio so that I could strategically place my vinyl on the mats and cut all at once. I really saves on material. I first cut it in black, then cut the doves in white and the heart in red. "Peace" was also cut from Joys of the Season. This cut for my good friend and neighbor Monique for a part of her gift this year. She loved it-at least I think she did as she asked me to make her one to give as a gift to someone else and another so that she would have a matched set! I hope you like it, enjoy!

Oh, I wanted to mention that I went to Joann's and purchased a "Bowdabra" for the large bows on these glass blocks and I love it! It's so easy to use and makes the most beautiful huge bows. I will never buy a bow again!

Stationary Purse (Small)

I have been hard at work trying to design this little stationary bag. This one will accomodate A2 (4-1/4" x 5-1/2") cards. I have not been able to make the cards that are going into this yet. That will come soon enough. I actually made this as a prototype, but I am happy with the results. There have been many requests for the .cut file for this (Using Cricut Expressions) for which I am honored. This was really my first Design Studio project of any merit (other than welding words and such). If I can figure out how to upload the file here, I will do that.

This was made strictly with George and Basic Shapes cartridge. This cut still requires the Expressions machine, but there was a board member that did some adjusting and made it work on the baby bug! You will need: 4 pieces of heavy, two-sided cardstock for this project, score board such as Scor-Pal, along with adhesive, eyelets & ribbon for the handles (or you can use paper straps, I suppose). There are many ways to embellish this little bag, use your imagination!

As usual I am way behind

I am going to attemp to do some major updating today to my blog. I have been ignoring it mainly because there is so much that I don't know how to do. This is my misson to learn more about the day to day upkeep of maintaining a blog. I have tons of cards and other projects that I have been working on and have not uploaded anything, so today is the day! Enjoy and leave me a comment if you wish.
